Withdrawal requests must be submitted to
Refunds for withdrawals after the Cancellation Period are determined by the Refund Policy. Your official withdrawal date will be the last day you participated in class in our premises or the day you notify us about your withdrawal via email; which ever is later.
You will be considered withdrawn from a program or course when one of the following occurs:
-
You notify CodeAstra by emailing
of the intent to withdraw. Any delay in immediately notifying CodeAstra of your intent to withdraw may delay a refund of tuition. - You are asked to leave CodeAstra for the failure to maintain satisfactory progress; failure to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution; and/or absences in excess of maximum allowed.
If you need to withdraw due to an emergency, such as personal or family illness or national service, you may be re-enrolled into another CodeAstra cohort following approval by the Managing Team.
Refund Policy
All refunds due will be made within 45 days of the student’s effective withdrawal date or cancellation. CodeAstra's refund calculation will be based on the scheduled weeks of class attendance. The last day of the last week of actual attendance is used in calculating any refund amount.
- If a student completes the total hours of the program in less calendar time than that published, the contracted tuition shall be fully earned by the Institution upon the date of completion, and the student will not be entitled to any refund due to earlier completion.
- The Institution will refund 100% of any paid textbooks or equipment/supplies not issued. Any reusable books or equipment/supplies returned to the Institution in good condition (unused, as determined by the Institution) within 20 days of the withdrawal date will be fully refunded.
- In case of prolonged illness, accident, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical to complete the program, a refund that is reasonable and fair to both parties shall be made, but in no event will the amount refunded be less than that reflected in the applicable refund schedule.
- If a third party paid for tuition on your behalf, the refund will be made to that third party in the amount of the refund due (but in no event greater than what that third party paid to CodeAstra). If there is an excess balance of the refund after payment to that third party, that amount will be refunded to you.
Process for Obtaining a Refund
Students must contact the company via
Student's Right to Cancel and Withdraw
Students have the right to cancel their enrollment and withdraw from the program at any time.
Refund After Withdrawal
Once a student begins the course and withdraws for any reason whatsoever after the Cancellation Period expires, the Institution’s refund schedule below will apply, less the non-refundable enrollment fee.
- If the Student completes less than 2/3rd of the program through the last day of attendance, they receive a pro rata refund, minus the Rs 15000/- non-refundable enrollment fee.
- If the Student completes more than 2/3rd of the program, they will be responsible for 100% of the remaining balance of the tuition for the program, even if they do not complete the entire program.
-
The last date of actual attendance is used in calculating any refund amount.
The refund to be paid to students for their program of instruction shall be calculated as follows:
- Divide the tuition fee by the number of weeks in the program
- The quotient is the weekly charge of tuition for the program
- The amount the student owes for the purpose of calculating the refund is derived by multiplying the number of weeks, the student attended the program (including the current week), before withdrawal, by the weekly charge for tuition.
- The refund is the difference between the amount originally charged for the program, less the non-refundable enrollment fee, and the amount calculated in #3. If, after the completion of the Institution Refund Policy calculation, a credit balance exists on the student's account, the Institution will refund the credit balance to the student, or to the applicable lender, or another appropriate source.
Note: Any extension or repeat of a Phase in the program will increase the number of days in the program, which will affect the calculation of the refund. The weekly charge of tuition is still calculated using the scheduled number of weeks of the program, not the new number of weeks as a result of extension or repeat of a phase.
Cancellation in Writing of Withdrawal
Remember, students must cancel in writing by emailing
Students do not have the right to cancel by telephoning CodeAstra or by refraining from coming to class. The failure of a student to notify the CodeAstra management in writing of withdrawal may delay refund of tuition. All refunds due will be made within 45 days of the student's effective withdrawal date or cancellation. CodeAstra refund calculation will be based on the scheduled weeks of class attendance. The week corresponding to the last day of actual attendance is used in calculating any refund amount.
Withdrawal Week
When any of the following occur, the effective withdrawal week for the student shall be:
- The week following the date the student notifies the school of withdrawal.
- The week following the date in which a student fails to start classes after he has notified the school of their withdrawal.
- In case of conflict between #1 and #2, the withdrawal week will correspond to the week which is later between the withdrawal week calculated by #1 and #2.
- The week following the date when the school terminates the student’s enrollment for failure to meet performance skill level, or violation of school policies or rules.
CodeAstra's Right to expulsion
CodeAstra reserve the right to expel a student in the following cases:
- The student is not putting in the required amount of efforts as required by the course
- The student is not being regular to the course, either in terms of attendance or timings or submission of assignments
- The student is not able to perform well at the bootcamp, what ever the reason behind is.
- The student's conduct is not acceptable.
In cases #1, #2, and #3 above, CodeAstra would notify the student about the status and ask the student to correct it. Up on multiple occurences of the same, we will give a choice to choose between repetition of a phase or explusion as explained below in the next section. In case you are expelled due to cases #1 or #2 above, CodeAstra doesn't refund any part of the tuition.
Inspite of the selection process, a very small fraction of students find it hard to finish the course (case #3 above). In such case, the refund calculation will be made in the same way as calculated for withdrawal below. Additional weeks spend as part of repetition, if any, will be counted in calculating prorata refund.
CodeAstra takes conduct very seriously. In case #4, CodeAstra reserves the right to expel the student immediately without any refund.
Choice of Repetition
The Bootcamp is divided into 3 phases of 5 weeks each. In case the student's performance or discipline is not acceptable as described above, the student will be given an option to repeat a phase, if possible. If the student is in Phase 1 or Phase 2, they can choose to repeat the phase along with the next cohort. If the student fails to perform well even in the repeated phase, they do not have another option to repeat. Students in Phase 3 do not have an option to repeat.
If the student doesn't want to repeat, or doesn't have an option to repeat, he will be asked to leave CodeAstra.
