Do I need to know how to program already?
Nope.
If I already know how to program a little, is Code Astra for me?
Absolutely.
Do students have to do a preliminary study before starting the course?
No
Can I really learn to program in 10 weeks?
Definitely. In these 10 weeks, you will not only learn programing, but also will learn to build complete products.
What will I learn?
You will learn software development. You will learn how to build web and mobile applications. The learning you get here is something you get by working for at least a couple of years in a typical software development company.
How is a typical day at bootcamp?
This is almost zero instruction and mostly practical learning program. A typical day starts with an overview of what is to be covered today. We do the introduction over a discussion session. That is followed by working on guided assignments and projects, where you get help from the instructors when you are stuck. We believe that it is the best way to learn software development. There would be few occasional events like guest lectures and tech talks.
Who are the mentors?
We have 7 full time dedicated mentors. The lead mentor is BV Satyaram. He has passed out of IIT Madras in 2009 and has over 10 years of web development experience. You can find the other mentors in the "Team" section of our website.
Is food and lodging included in the price of tuition?
Nope. However, we can assist you with arrangements.
Do you provide a job guarantee?
If you are an individual considering Code Astra as a launch pad for a career in software development, you might be wondering if we provide job guarantee. We haven't signed deals with any company yet. So, we can't promise a job. How ever, we can assure you one thing. After you go through the program, you will not need any external help to get a job. You can get a couple of jobs yourself! You will have at least 3 projects to showcase. That would be the strongest point in your resume.
Do you help us get a job?
Yes. We invite some of the best companies for hiring and assist you in securing a job that you deserve!
Isn't the tuition high?
Actually, it is much lower than the industry average. The tuition at most of the well known bootcamps range from $15,000 to $25,000. Our goal is to make programming accessible to everyone. We kept the price at the least we could, while still providing the best experience and exposure to you.
